Koba Shoten is located in Tarumizu City, which is at the midway point of Kagoshima`s Osumi Peninsula.

Tarumizu is a town blessed by nature and water, with Sakurajima to the north and the Takakuma mountains to the east.

Koba Shoten`s motto is “Nature`s blessing, just the way it is.” They devote themselves to this and strive toward making the best shoyu(soy sauce), miso, and tofu.

Kagoshima`s distinctive sweet and mild shoyu.

For the people of Kagoshima that grew up with this style of shoyu, it`s hard to get used to any other kind. Let`s tour the factory where this shoyu is made!
